As I am sure most of you know, Brad and Angelina have been in Prague for the past month or so. They came with all 45 of their kids and even enrolled Maddox in a school here. One of Chrissy's students kids go to that school and they said that the security is out of control. She described it as "Monkey's hanging in trees" Paparazzi in Prague! Prag-a-razzi!
Speaking of monkeys, we also had another famous visitor this week, but I'm sure you all didn't hear about this one. Mr. President, GW, was here. See, Mr. Bush wants to put a radar station in the Czech Republic. The Czech people, of course don't want it. But, hell they don't want anything new. They are fighting Valentine's Day for heavens sake. Half of my students fear radiation and the other half think America is evil and trying to take over the world. I guess I can't disagree with that. It's funny, I find myself sticking up for America a lot. They have some pretty distorted views about us. But then again, I would too if I had never been there and if I thought I would never travel there in my life time.
So yeah, right when Bush was arriving, I was also prepping for the arrival of my new roommate - Tracy. That means Chrissy is going. That means Alicia is sad. Real sad.
Chrissy's last night in Prague was last Thursday. She is headed back to her fiance Wil, her family and her regular full time teaching gig in the states. Unlike the rest of us, Chrissy had a job and stuff when she got here. But, it is Prague and she was a little bummed to be leaving this awesome city. So, we did what any loving group of friends would do. We got her drunk. We did all of the things that the fabulous Chrissy likes to do...which just so happen to be the same things I like to do also. So that worked out well!
We started the evening with Mojito's at our favorite Cafe' Kaaba. We would go there every Saturday morning and a couple of times a week for the best Cappuccinos in Prague. We are the American regulars. So, on her last night, we had some very strong and bitter sweet drinks at Kaaba. Then we walked up the street to a Pizza place we like. It was nice. We had a couple of Carafes of wine and some really yummy pizza. By 8:30 we were on our way to the Beer Garden.
Everyone was there! I think Chrissy was super excited to see everyone come out and say good-bye. Of course we got completely loaded. COMPLETELY. I even managed to get the phone number of this beautiful Irish boy I had hooked up with a few weeks back. Don't ask why I didn't have his number already...it's a long story and it is not appropriate for viewing. hee hee hee.
Anyway, after many beers, we finally left the BG and headed to the Herna Bar on the corner. The Herna sometimes has strippers so we thought we'd give it a shot. No such luck. But, Ben and T gave the pole a whirl so it was not a complete loss. Nope, not at all.
There have ben some crazy stories to happen since Chrissy left, but...it's just not the same without her. We miss you C-Dog.
